Based on a 1974 Honda CB400F, this striking and beautifully executed Mike Hailwood-inspired special combines classic Honda engineering with period racing aesthetics and genuine road-going usability. Built to evoke the spirit of the great Grand Prix and endurance racers of the 1970s, the result is a highly distinctive machine that stands apart from the typical café racer conversion. Built around Honda's iconic four-cylinder platform, this machine has been transformed into a purpose-built Hailwood-inspired racer complete with full race fairing, single-seat tail section, rearset controls and period-style instrumentation. .The attention to detail throughout the build is evident. A set of desirable Veglia Borletti instruments sit behind the fairing, complemented by Paolo Tarozzi clip-on handlebars, Magura controls and a Gale Speed master cylinder. The machine rides on classic Akront Morad alloy rims, a highly regarded choice synonymous with period competition motorcycles. Braking is provided by a sought-after twin leading shoe front brake conversion, offering improved stopping power while maintaining an authentic period racing appearance. Fuel delivery is via a set of Keihin carburettors, complementing the machine's performance-focused specification and contributing to its purposeful character. Before it leaves for its new home we’ll be giving this one a fresh oil and filter change and 100 point service by our fully trained technicians.
