Description
Wedgwood England octagonal scallop shaped trinket bowl (lidded) with white bas-reliefs featuring a neo-classical scene on the lid as well as eight scenes around the sides featuring cherubs/putti. White acanthus or laurel garland around the edge of the lid.
Lovely gift for a new mother. Or for a musician.
One primary neoclassical scene on the top with a seated harpist playing to a standing man, with a woman standing behind with distaff.
Scenes with cherubs (attributes of Venus) at different activities together on each of the eight scalloped sides.
White on blue jasperware trinket pot.
