RARE COLLECTABLE 27K SEWING MACHINE. Serial number R153223 indicating made in Scotland in 1902. Sphinx Decals. Understand only 2000 were made of this model. Machine has been well used, but looks in reasonable condition for age and probably only needs oiling and adjusting as built before the days of planned obsolescence, when machines were designed to be repaired rather than replaced. Bentwood case has a special compartment to store accessories and the instruction booklet. COMES WITH A BOX OF ORIGINAL ACCESSORIES. Box reads: Accessories for Fam. V.S. (Vibrating Shuttle) and Med. V.S. Machines (see photos). PLUS AN ORIGINAL INSTRUCTION BOOKLET (again see photos), which is beautifully illustrated and is larger than most Singer instruction booklets. Sold as seen.
