Description
Hello,
I am selling my ANTIQUE Chinese Bronze Incense Burner Teapot Style with 3 Immortals c1845 that is in great condition for its age and very heavy (approx 1.15 kgs).
This bronze incense burner has 3 highly decorated colour plaques depicting the three lucky gods (Fu Xing, Lu Xing and Shou Xing) and is STUNNING in detail. Each plaque is detailed yet simplistic and shows people bowing down and making offerings to the gods and the colours are still present and the panels are intact with no damage (see photos).
I bought this incense burner in the late 1980's from an auction in the New Forest, and was told that it had been in the family since the early 1900's.
The bronze incense burner is in a used condition relevant to its age as described and the darkened patina has rubbed in some places to show usage over the many years. There are some minor imperfections, but this only adds to the authenticity of this piece.
I had an oriental specialist look at this 25 years ago, and he gave me the details on its age and description and said that it was in very good condition and sought after being all original.
The incense burner measures L 3.5 inches x W 3.5 x H 6 inches approx, and has a contoured swinging handle.
There are some marks on the incense burner:
Front panel below spout in a square
Base shows what looks like a makers mark in a circle which apparently is rare, as most were square/rectangle.
If you are a collector of Chinese quality items or looking for something different, this is a piece to own and is a good investment as prices continue to climb due to demand.
If you have any questions please contact me, and open to sensible offers or exchange for hallmarked jewellery.
*This item can be shipped to anywhere in the UK FREE and will be sent via tracked/signed paid for by the seller for peace of mind for all parties.
