Description
Hello,
I am selling this Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother 90th Birthday Five Pound Crown that I have had for some time, which is in excellent condition and still in its original casing.
These attractive Crowns are always in demand with coin collectors.
Made to celebrate the 90th birthday of The Queen mother, these coins were made by the UK's Royal Mint as an official souvenir, making them a key addition to any royal memorabilia collection.
In 1990 The Royal Mint celebrated the ninetieth birthday of Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. Born in 1900, Elizabeth Bowes-Lion married the future king George V in 1923. She had two daughters, Queen Elizabeth II and her sister, Princess Margaret. Widowed in 1952 she was popularly known as the ‘Queen Mum’ until her death in 2002.
This commemorative Five Pound coin shows the third official coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth’s daughter, Her Majesty the Queen to the obverse. This is paired with a reverse designed by Leslie Durbin which incorporates a double-E cypher for the two Elizabeths as well as a crown and national flower emblems.
If you are a Royal fan who collects memorabilia, this coin is a must have.
