Old (Probably Antique) Cast Iron Railway Bridge Number Plate (426)
Dunfermline, Fife
Description
I am selling an Old (Probably Antique) Cast Iron Railway Bridge Number Plate. Please note the item is in Culross.
This plate was possibly from the London and North Western Railway and would have been used to identify a bridge along the line. The London and North Western Railway was formed of 3 Railway Companies in 1846 and merged into the London, Midland and Scottish Railway in 1922.
The plate is 240mm x 205mm and weighs 3380g (all measurements are by myself and whilst every effort is taken to be correct are not guaranteed). This item was originally purchased from collectors corner at Euston many years ago.
