Lister Junior engine

I HAVE NOW REDCED THE PRICE TO WHAT OT OWES ME,SO NO OFFERS IF IT FAILS TO SELL IT CAN BE STORED UNTIL I FEEL BETTER
I HAD A FRIEND START THE ENGINE FIOR ME THIS MORNING BUT THE SPEED CENTRIFUGE LINKAGES NEED TO BE SET UP AFTER BEING REFITTED AS THESPEED OF THE ENGINE WAS RISING TOO HIGH . ALL THE LINKAGES WERE LOOSE WHEN I BOUGHT THE ENGINE SO SOMEONE MUST HAVE BEEN IN THE PROCESS OF SETTING THEM . I MADE A POST ON THE LISTER FORUM AND THE ANSWERS WERE , THE BOB WEIGHT LINKAGES NEED SETTING UP OR THE THROTTLE PLATE IS STICKING . THE GLAND NUT ON THE PETROL PUMP NEEDS TO BE LOOSENED MY FRIEND FITTED IT AND ITS TOO TIGHT . I FITTED NEW GLAND PACKING WHEN REBUILDING THE ENGINE . ALSO THE FUEL TANK BRASS STRAPS NEED SCREWING DOWN . DUE TO THESE THINGS AND THE FACT I AM NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO WORK ON THE ENGINE FOR SOME TIME IVE REDUCED THE PRICE . IF IT DOESNT SELL , . IT CAN GO INTO STORAGE TILL I`M "RESTORED" !!! ..
Ive restored classic cars for years as a hobby .However,due to age and health problems I did my last car this year and decided to step down in work needed ,so I bought a Lister Junior stationary engine I found from the Lister club ,it was made in July 1928 , so nearly 100 years old .It ran well , but obviously hadnt been cleaned for years . so I partially stripped it down and while down I sent the magneto away to a specialist for an overhaul .The spark on it is now better than ever . The trolly is steerable and is easy to move around . After spending hours rebuilding the trolly , which needed some of the wood replacing ,I removed flywheels , tank etc to give it a good sanding down and repaint . It now looks the part . It comes with the original starting handle . I just finished the restoration when I was taken into hospital . but I have to return sometime this spring , to have an operation In the meantime I can`t do much . BECAUSE OF THIS I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO WORK ON THE ENGINE ,HOWEVER THERE IS A VIDEO OF IT RUNNING BEFORE I STARTED THE LIGHT RESTORATION The plan originally was to sell this and look for an open crank engine to restore . However I have to put this on hold until Im sorted , which may be some time ahead , so I ,may as well let someone else enjoy the engine . THE JIG CONNECTED TO THE ENGINE , IS SOMETHING I BUILT TO START IT AS I DIDNT HAVE THE STRENGTH TO TURN IT OVER THIS IS NOT FOR SALE . Hopefully this will do for the next engine I restore !!!. due to circimstances I would not be able to help loading the engine , it moves well on the trolley .
