2 great coins from our historical past.
Boxed set silver penny Pair. Both in fine/v-fine condition, I believe.
1 x Henry III 1216 - 1272 Hammered, Long Cross
Henry III (r. 1216–1272) and his son, Edward I (r. 1272–1307), represent a crucial transition in 13th-century English history, moving from the former’s politically unstable reign to the latter’s strong, expansionist monarchy. While Henry struggled with rebellious barons, Edward acted as his father's military enforcer before succeeding him, strengthening the crown through legal reforms, the development of Parliament, and the conquest of Wales.
1 x Edward I 1272 -1307, Hammered, Long Cross.
Edward I, son, solidified parliament, conquered Wales, and heavily challenged Scotland, earning the nickname "Hammer of the Scots".
Both coins in really good condition for their age. See photos.
Details of both coins in the photos.
