Description
Seeking a dedicated part-time Farm worker for dairy farm in the Lesmahagow area (South Lanarkshire). This role involves hands-on work across various farm operations, mainly including milking and general work with livestock. Experience not essential as full training will be provided.
This position offers an opportunity to develop practical skills and animal care with flexibility of working pattern and good rates of pay. Predominately weekend shifts available.
Own transport is essential due to rural location.
No accommodation with this role.
Duties
* Milking
* Calf rearing
* Supporting animal husbandry activities such as feeding, cleaning, and health checks
* Operating farm machinery
* Assisting with general farm maintenance to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
Ability
* Physical fitness to perform manual labour
* Knowledge of animal care practices is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
* Familiarity with horticultural techniques or general farm maintenance is a plus
* Reliable, hardworking, with a positive attitude towards outdoor work
* Ability to follow instruction and work as part of a team
