Description
I am selling an Antique Cast Iron Railway Crossing or Bridge Number Plate
This plate was from the Great Northern Railway Railway whose main line ran from London to York and would have been used to identify a crossing or bridge along a line. The Great Northern Railway was incorporated in 1846 and operated from 1848, it was merged into the London, and North Eastern Railway in 1922.
The plate is 225 mm x 170 mm and weighs 2180 g (all measurements are by myself and whilst every effort is taken to be correct are not guaranteed). This item was originally purchased from collectors corner at Euston many years ago.
I have 3 railway signs for sale at a total of £140. Should someone wish to purchase all 3 the price would be £100.
