Description
You are looking at a vintage, wood box which according to the Russian label on the bottom, was handmade, hand decorated and hand painted in 1980 in the Oreshak, Bulgaria which was part of the Soviet Union.
The box has a hinged lid which is attached via two metal hinges. Both the box and lid are made from wood, something like MDF. The lid contains a symmetrical pattern in the centre and corners along with a pattern around the edge. The front of the lid has a circular pattern which is also along the edges of the box on both sides. The front of the box also contains a symmetric pattern. The box is lined with what looks like a blue felt material.
I assume the box was originally designed to house jewellery but I am sure it could be used to store whatever fits. Would make an excellent gift.
Condition:-
Apart from the odd scratch, the box is in excellent physical condition both inside and out and closes without any problems. Please see the advert pictures.
