Description
This is the rarest action figure from the Gatchaman / Battle of the Planets line produced by Diamond Select some 20 plus years ago.
This highly sought after Special Edition release of Jason which has a pearlescent finish on a light maroon coloured torso. (not the standard matt finished darker purple regular version of this figure)
This figure was produced with a very limited run, this is 1 of only 1000 made, so you do not see these come up for sale.. and they were not available in the UK making this sale all the rarer.
Being 20 years old it has a few battle scars.. Unfortunately the figure has been stored with too much weight pressing on the cape (which is made of a moulded rubber vinyl that is softer than the rest of the figure). The result being that it has left an imprint.. the issue being that the tip of one of the points of the cape has been flattened against the back of the calf of the left leg. There is no damage to the leg, but it has left the tip at that point of the cape flat with a tiny hole. On the positive, if you look at the photos you can see that because that particular point of the cape is made to be directly behind the left leg you cannot actually see it unless you look at the reverse of the figure, so it doesn't effect the look of the figure when on display. But I want to draw your attention to it to be sure you look at the photos and are aware.
Imperfections aside however, this is a rare opportunity to own a genuinely rare limited edition version of this cult action figure.
