Ever felt the need to show off to your pals by saying “I have a Nakamichi,Sort of !”
Goodmans SCD 100 Stereo Cassette Tape Deck
Circa 1975
Assembled in Japan for Goodmans by Nakamichi using the internal transport mechanism,electronics and performance characteristics of the Nakamichi 500 series but in a Goodmans branded chassis for the Uk market
So in short that means it’s damn good
Adverts from the time claim it to be the best budget Cassette Deck on the market
Full working order after a service
New Counter Belt ( Drive belt fine )
New Dolby bulb
Head Cleaned
Capstan Roller Cleaned
Fully cleaned and de-gunked inside
Side panels given a light sand and oil
Drawer opens with ease
Meters in full working order and bulbs bright
MPX filter on rear
Dolby Noise Reduction
Slide controls for line and MIC Recording
Cosmetically it’s in very good condition for age
There are some marks to the front silver panel as per pics
Can be demonstrated of course
Don’t have as many tapes as records but still plenty to choose from
All great except for the couple of Led Zeppelin ones that I’m not sure why I have !
