An ORIGINAL ANTIQUE true authentic fireplace mantle solid wood with original art Nouveau antique copper moulded hood, original Art Nouveau cast iron insert with original art nouveau antique tiles, plus antique fire grate. All items listed in this advert are included being sold as a complete four piece set. It is stunning. The insert has beautiful carved detailing framing the insert edging either side of the tiles. The cast iron tile insert and tiles fits perfectly inside the mantle. Material: Cast iron and comes with original Art Nouveau ceramic tiles. Tile colours: Burgundy/ chestnut back ground, pink yellow and green hint of yellow (As photographed). The insert has been wrapped thoroughly to protect and safeguard all tiles from any damage, held in storage. I unwrapped one section of the tiled insert legs to reveal this photographed for this advert. Measurements in inches: Insert size: H: 36 W: 37 D: 14. A true period piece. The mantle is a solid and heavy weight item with detailed wreath, swag, bow ribbon centre design (with two sculpted motifs at top of each leg, made of composition: Original). Mantle material: Wood. Carefully stripped, revealing beautiful tones of the wood as shown. This is not pine, it is solid wood, a heavy item. The wooden mantle can either be left natural, be waxed, oiled or polished which will enhance the wood further. Alternatively, the mantle can be stained to a colour of your choice, if a darker stain is used the amazing colours in the wood will be lost entirely in this process, its personal preference. The wood is in exceptional condition for age. No woodworm. Clean: A few authentic miniscule light dents to surface. The ornate motif details are true original period. The mantle is in one piece, it is not detachable. It truly is a beautiful original crafted item. Mantle measurements in inches: Height: 52, Width: 59, Depth (Mantle top): 10.5.
