The Opportunity:

They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Residential Care Worker or Team Leader to join its team in Derby. This role is ideal for a compassionate professional looking to take a step into leadership, providing day–to–day guidance to a team of care workers while making a tangible difference in the lives of young people.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Registered and Deputy Managers to maintain the highest standards of care, acting as a role model and a key figure in the home's supportive structure.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide day–to–day leadership and support to a team of Residential Care Workers. Ensure the physical, emotional, and social needs of the children and young people are met with the highest standard of care. Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, young people, and their families. Uphold safeguarding responsibilities, promoting individual rights and providing care that is free from oppression and values diversity. Act as a mentor and role model to Residential Support Workers, offering guidance and support. Assist the management team in the implementation and review of individual care plans and risk assessments. Ensure all records and documentation are accurately maintained and up–to–date. The Ideal Candidate:

Essential Requirements:

An NVQ Level 3 or higher qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce or its equivalent. Proven previous experience within a children's residential care setting. Demonstrable leadership potential and strong management skills. A full, valid UK driving licence. Flexibility to work the required shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. In Return:
