About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high–quality care and support to individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs. You will play a crucial role in empowering individuals to live independently, achieve their goals, and enhance their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

Provide person–centred support tailored to individual needs. Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and household duties. Support individuals in developing life skills, promoting independence, and engaging in community activities. Encourage positive mental health and emotional well–being through active listening and support. Implement and follow care plans and risk assessments. Assist with medication management in line with company policies. Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and other support staff. Promote social inclusion, advocacy, and access to community resources. Maintain accurate and up–to–date records and reports. Respond effectively to challenging behaviour using de–escalation techniques. Requirements

Experience in learning disabilities, autism, or mental health support (preferred but not essential). A caring, patient, and empathetic approach. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep–in shifts. A good understanding of safeguarding, health & safety, and confidentiality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable but not required). A valid UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
