Support Worker – Supported Living Adults
North London (Wood Green & Bowes Park) 13.85 per hour + 60 per sleep–inLong shifts: 8:30am – 8:00pmEnhanced DBS required
We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to join a supported living service in North London, providing high–quality support to adults with enduring mental ill health and learning disabilities.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by empowering individuals to live independently, achieve their goals, and maintain control over their lives.
The Role
As a Support Worker, you will deliver person–centred, recovery–focused support, promoting independence, choice and inclusion within the community. You will work closely with the Project Manager and wider team to ensure high standards of care and support are maintained at all times.
The service operates in the Wood Green and Bowes Park areas, supporting individuals within their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver personalised support in line with individual support and risk management plansSupport service users to sustain tenancies and manage daily living tasksAssist with medication management and record keepingPromote physical and mental wellbeing, including access to health servicesSupport with budgeting, benefits, shopping, cooking and household managementEncourage positive daily structure including education, employment, leisure and community engagementAct as Key Worker for allocated service usersMaintain accurate, confidential recordsParticipate in reviews, referrals and assessmentsPromote safeguarding and ensure the safety and wellbeing of all service usersWork collaboratively as part of a teamUndertake sleep–ins as requiredPlease note: Personal care is not currently part of the role but may be introduced in the future following appropriate training.

Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs and/or learning disabilitiesA compassionate, patient and empowering approachStrong communication and record–keeping skillsFlexibility to work long shifts and sleep–insCommitment to safeguarding and equalityEnhanced DBSNVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)Care CertificateSafeguarding trainingMedication administration trainingPMVA / MAPA / behaviour management trainingWhy Apply?
