Student Wellbeing Support Part Time, Term Time OnlyLocation: East LondonSalary: GBP22,000-GBP26,000 (FTE), pro rata for term time hoursStart Date: February 2026Are you passionate about supporting young people's wellbeing and helping them stay engaged in education?We are working with an inclusive and forward-thinking education provider in East London seeking an experienced wellbeing professional to join their student support team.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in mental health, safeguarding or pastoral support to make a meaningful difference in a diverse student community.The RoleYou will support students experiencing social, emotional or mental health challenges. Responsibilities will include:-Acting as a first point of contact for students needing wellbeing/mental health support-Providing regular 1:1 sessions and developing personalised strategies-Supporting SEND and SEMH learners, including those with plans in place-Creating and contributing to safety plans for vulnerable students-Maintaining accurate, confidential case notes-Working closely with safeguarding, welfare and learning support teams-Supporting wellbeing, enrichment and resilience programmes-Contributing to wider wellbeing resources, processes and strategyThis is a varied role, balancing direct student support with safeguarding responsibilities.About YouWe'd love to hear from candidates with:-Experience supporting the mental health or wellbeing of young people-Safeguarding training and familiarity with referral pathways-Background in education, youth services, or similar settings-Strong communication skills and confidence working 1:1 with students-Experience supporting young people with complex needs including Autism/ADHD-A calm, resilient and solution-focused approachCandidates from safeguarding, pastoral, counselling, youth work, social care or SEMH backgrounds are encouraged to apply.Why Apply?-Make a direct impact on young people's wellbeing and educational outcomes-Join a supportive, mission-led student services team-Term-time only role for a great work-life balance-Opportunity to shape wellbeing provisionWhat you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.
