Scope

We are looking for a Stores & Logistics Technician to support scientific operations through efficient logistics, inventory, and materials management. This hands–on role involves handling deliveries, maintaining stock levels, managing hazardous and sensitive materials, and ensuring a safe, well–organised storage environment. You will play a vital part in keeping daily operations running smoothly and supporting research teams behind the scenes.

This role is ideal for someone reliable, flexible, and safety–conscious, who enjoys working in a fast–paced environment where accuracy and teamwork make a real difference.

Responsibilities:

Receive, store, and distribute deliveries in line with temperature, safety, and storage guidelines. Monitor stock levels, place replenishment orders, and support inventory counts. Provide reliable, customer–focused service at the internal supply counter. Safely manage hazardous waste, gas cylinders, and liquid nitrogen vessels. Assist with sample shipments, ensuring all safety and compliance requirements are met. Keep storage areas clean, safe, and compliant with regulations. Transport and replace laboratory products across site as required. Complete administrative tasks accurately, including inventory tracking, audits, and reporting. Adapt to changing priorities and support the wider team with ad–hoc logistics needs. About You:

Experience in logistics, inventory, or administrative work (service sector or summer roles also considered). Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP or similar stock management systems is a plus. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety. A collaborative, team–oriented approach with a focus on excellent customer service. Desirable: certifications such as FLT, ADR, or Gas Safe. If you're interested in the above role then please click apply or get in touch to discuss further.

Consult will endeavour to contact candidates within 14 days of application. However, if you do not hear back after 2 weeks then please assume on this occasion, unfortunately, you have not been successful.
