Description

Are you an experienced middle–grade doctor seeking a rewarding clinical position in mental health? Evolve Staffing Ltd. is recruiting a Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry to join an NHS mental health department based in the market town of Petersfield, Hampshire. This SAS (Specialty and Associate Specialist) doctor position offers an excellent balance of inpatient care, outpatient clinic reviews, and multidisciplinary teamwork under the guidance of Consultant Psychiatrists, offering a supportive environment for professional development and clinical advancement.

Core Clinical Responsibilities:

Conduct routine and urgent psychiatric clinical evaluations, mental state examinations, and risk assessments for adult service users.

Provide daily medical care to inpatients or community clients, including physical health monitoring and routine medication reviews.

Formulate and adjust psychotropic medication regimes under the supervision of the lead Consultant Psychiatrist.

Prepare detailed clinical reports for Care Programme Approach (CPA) meetings, tribunals, and multi–agency care reviews.

Participate in routine medical handovers, multidisciplinary team meetings, and departmental clinical audits.

Deliver empathetic, patient–centered care while working closely with families, carers, and community nursing teams.

Essential Candidate Requirements:

Full GMC Registration with a current Licence to Practise.

Significant post–graduate clinical experience in Psychiatry at the Specialty Doctor, SAS, or ST3+ middle–grade level within the NHS.

MRCPsych Paper A/B or full qualification is highly desirable.

Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills within a psychiatric healthcare setting.
