Senior Children s Residential Support Worker

Shirebrook, Derbyshire

GBP13.43 per hour + GBP70 per sleep in

We are recruiting for a Children s Residential Support Worker to join a supportive residential children s home in Shirebrook.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with children and young people and wants to be part of a stable team where you can build meaningful relationships and make a genuine difference.

The Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will help create a safe, structured and nurturing environment for the young people in the home.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting young people with their daily routines and activities Providing consistent emotional and practical support Building positive and professional relationships Promoting independence, confidence and life skills Supporting young people with education, appointments and activities Managing challenging situations calmly and professionally Maintaining accurate daily records and reports Following individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures Working closely with colleagues to maintain a safe and positive home environment What We re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is reliable, patient and confident working with young people.

Ideally, you will have:

Previous experience supporting children or young people Experience within residential care, supported accommodation or a similar setting A good understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries The ability to remain calm and consistent when dealing with challenging situations Good communication and record keeping skills Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep ins Pay & Benefits

Up to GBP13.43 per hour

GBP70 per sleep in

You ll also benefit from ongoing work within an established residential setting, with the opportunity to develop your experience and progress within children s residential care.
