Senior Care Assistant

Warrington (WA4)

Days Only | 40 Hours Per Week | 12‑Hour Shifts

£13.30 per hour

The service is a modern, purpose‑built care home designed to provide exceptional support across three specialist wings. With 60 beds and a dedicated day centre supporting up to 28 people per day, they deliver high‑quality nursing, residential and dementia care in a warm, person‑centred environment.

The Role

As a Senior Care Assistant, you'll play a key part in ensuring residents receive safe, dignified and compassionate care. You'll support daily living needs, lead and motivate care teams, and work closely with nurses, managers and families to maintain the highest standards.

Key responsibilities for the Senior Care Assistant include:

- Providing personal care including washing, dressing, toileting and all aspects of daily living

- Liaising with nurses and the Home Manager to ensure continuity of care

- Leading, guiding and supporting care staff to develop their skills

- Keeping accurate, up‑to‑date care records

- Safely administering and recording medication

- Supervising and coordinating staff to maintain excellent team performance

- Conducting 1:1 supervisions

- Communicating regularly with families to ensure residents' needs are fully met

About You

We're looking for a Senior Care Assistant who is:

- Enthusiastic, caring and compassionate

- Motivated, flexible and reliable

- A strong communicator (written and verbal)

- Able to work independently and as part of a team

- Approachable with good leadership skills

- Skilled at prioritising workload

- Keen to learn and develop

Essential: NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
