Job Title: SEND Support Worker

Area: Rochdale, Greater Manchester

Start Date: Tuesday 1st September 2026

Contract Type: Full–time, Permanent

Pay Rate: 500 – 600 per week (depending on experience)

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, Term time

About the Role:

As a SEND Support Worker, you'll provide hands–on, personalised support to students whose needs require a little more – more patience, more creativity, more consistency. Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families, you'll help remove the barriers that stand between a young person and their potential. It's challenging, meaningful work – and no two days will ever be the same.

What We're Looking For:

Experience supporting young people with complex SEND needs – in a school, care, or specialist settingConfidence working with students with PMLD, SLD, ASD, physical disabilities, or sensory impairmentsA warm, person–centred approach with genuine commitment to student wellbeingAbility to follow detailed support and care plans accurately and consistentlyAny experience of BSL, AAC, Makaton, or other communication approaches is a strong advantageCACHE, NVQ, or relevant health and social care qualification desirableTo Be Eligible You Must:

Hold Right to Work in the UKHave an enhanced DBS certificate already on the update service or be willing to apply for a new oneProvide two professional references from child–related rolesBe committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young peopleReady to make a real difference?
