Key Information

Job Title: SEN Support Worker

Pay: GBP21.63 gross per hour

Location: Leyton, E10

Hours and Days of Work: Term Time: Monday to Friday, 3:15pm to 8:30pm. School Holidays: 27 hours per week (3 x 9 hour shifts Monday to Thursday, 9:00am to 6:00pm), agreed in advance with the family.

Essential Experience: Minimum 1 year's experience supporting children with emotional regulation difficulties, behavioural regulation support and behaviours that challenge. Experience supporting clients with seizure management. Confident working within a family home. Willingness to complete training.

Desirable: Experience supporting non–verbal children, or children with communication differences. Experience with positive behaviour support. Makaton/Adapted communication experience.

Driver Required: Yes – Automatic WAV for use while on duty.

He has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, developmental delay and a visual impairment, alongside limited verbal communication. This rewarding role would suit a calm and patient Support Worker who enjoys building trusting relationships with children and has experience supporting emotional regulation, behavioural regulation and behaviours that challenge.
