About the Role

As an SEMH Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting pupils both inside and outside of the classroom. You will help students regulate emotions, manage behaviour and develop positive relationships that allow them to access learning and feel confident within the school environment.

You may work 1:1 or with small groups, supporting pupils with their learning, encouraging engagement in lessons and assisting with structured activities throughout the school day. Building trusting, consistent relationships will be central to the role, helping pupils feel supported and understood.

About the School

The provision supports pupils across primary and secondary age groups who may have experienced challenges in mainstream education. The school offers a structured and nurturing environment, where the focus is on rebuilding confidence, supporting emotional development and encouraging positive engagement with learning.

With smaller class sizes and a strong pastoral approach, staff are able to provide personalised support tailored to each pupil's needs. The setting takes a trauma–informed and relationship–based approach, with staff working closely together to create a safe, supportive and consistent environment where pupils can make both academic and personal progress.
