Description

SEND Assessment & Review Officer We are seeking an experienced and motivated SEND Assessment & Review Officer to join our SEND service. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating and managing Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments and Annual Reviews, ensuring statutory duties are met and that children and young people receive high–quality, outcome–focused EHCPs.

Key Responsibilities Coordinate EHC Needs Assessments and Annual Reviews within statutory timescales Work collaboratively with families, schools, professionals, and partner agencies Ensure EHCPs are person–centred, legally compliant, and of high quality Review professional advice and assessment information to support informed decision–making Maintain accurate case records and contribute to service improvement activity Support positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND About You Experience working within SEND services or a statutory SEND environment Strong understanding of SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice Experience managing EHCP processes, assessments, or reviews Excellent communication, organisational, and case coordination skills Ability to work effectively within statutory deadlines and manage competing priorities This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND within a supportive and developing service.
