Description

Quality Control Laboratory Technician

Location: Wigan

Full Time Permanent

Are you a detail–oriented individual with experience in laboratory testing and quality control? We are seeking a proactive QC Laboratory Technician to join a busy and dynamic manufacturing environment, ensuring the highest standards of product quality.

What You'll Be Doing

You will be expected to:

Perform in–process and final product testing in line with specifications

Test incoming raw materials as required

Prepare pre–shipment samples and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete

Carry out calibration procedures in accordance with equipment schedules

Complete inspection and testing procedures following manufacturing instructions

Identify non–conforming materials or processes and take appropriate corrective action

Issue accurate process adjustment instructions to production teams

Support project and development work when assigned

Provide test method training to operators and designated personnel

Respond to customer complaints, process failures, and non–conformance issues in a timely manner

Maintain accurate quality records and documentation

Report any incidents or abnormal situations to senior staff promptly

Ensure all activities comply with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards

What You'll Bring

Essential

Experience working in a quality control or laboratory environment

Strong attention to detail and problem–solving skills

Good organisational and documentation skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Effective communication skillsDesirable

Experience with laboratory equipment calibration

Knowledge of quality management systems and compliance standards

Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
