Join a leading Housing Association based in Ashford as a Property Officer, providing professional support and ensuring high standards of service for property information, local land charge enquiries, and data management across the borough. THE ROLE

As a Property Officer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting property and land-related processes, maintaining accurate data records, and delivering outstanding customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. You’ll be part of a flexible and collaborative team, helping to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

Research, validate and process Local Land Charges and property information enquiries.

Liaise with solicitors, professionals, and members of the public to provide accurate information and advice.

Maintain and update property, land, and address records using GIS and other digital systems.

Administer street naming and numbering in line with council policy.

Ensure compliance with data protection, local land charge legislation, and council standards.

Support the wider team with administrative tasks, data management, and customer service.

Contribute to ongoing digital transformation and improved working practices.THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role, ideally within local government, housing, or property information services. You’ll be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and confident working with databases and mapping systems.

Essential Requirements:

Experience in a property, housing, or land information-based role.

Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and bespoke database systems.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proven ability to work methodically, accurately, and to deadlines.

A proactive and self-motivated approach with a focus on problem-solving.THE CONTRACT

Working Hours: 30-35 hours per week (must include Tuesday, flexible pattern available)

Length of Contract: 12-Month Temporary Assignment

Pay Rate: £16.91 per hour LTD or £14.51 per hour PAYE (inclusive of holiday pay)
