About the practice

As the resident Optometrist, your day will involve a mixture of routine eye examinations, enhanced clinical care, and patient-focused recommendations.

Typical responsibilities include:

Conducting comprehensive sight tests Advising patients on eye health and visual solutions Managing contact lens appointments and aftercare Making appropriate referrals where required Working closely with Dispensing Opticians and Optical Assistants Supporting patients through their full optical journey Using modern clinical technology to support accurate diagnoses Maintaining accurate and compliant patient records Delivering a high standard of customer care and professionalism You will be supported by a strong front-of-house and dispensing team, allowing you to focus on patient care and clinical delivery.

Testing times and clinical set up

Testing times typically around 35 minutes Pre-screening completed by experienced support staff Opportunity to provide enhanced clinical services Structured diary management to support efficient clinics The practice places a strong emphasis on both clinical care and patient experience.

Hours and flexibility:

Full-time and part-time opportunities available Weekend rota included Flexible working patterns may be considered No late evening requirements The practice aims to support a healthy work-life balance wherever possible.
