Mental Health Solicitor

Location: East London Salary: GBP42,000-GBP50,000 DOE

An established East London practice is seeking an accredited Mental Health Solicitor to join its Community Law team. You will work alongside lawyers specialising across mental health, housing, debt and community care, representing clients whose cases require both technical ability and a very human approach.

You will manage a caseload of mental health matters, provide clear and practical advice and undertake advocacy where required.

The position will involve:

Advising and representing clients in mental health proceedingsConducting advocacyManaging cases independently and efficientlyWorking sensitively with vulnerable clientsMaintaining strong client and professional relationshipsCollaborating with colleagues across complementary social welfare disciplinesYou

You must have:

At least three years' PQE, or equivalent experienceLaw Society Mental Health AccreditationPrevious advocacy experienceStrong written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to build trust with clientsAn organised, flexible and compassionate approachThis will suit a solicitor who wants responsibility and intellectually engaging work but also wants their caseload to have a visible impact beyond the billable hour.
