We're looking for warm, enthusiastic Health Care/Support Assistants to join the team at our purpose–built care home, Meadfoot View in Torquay. Whether you're an experienced care professional or looking to start a brand–new career supporting people with physical disabilities, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

You'll support residents with all aspects of daily living, helping them build independence, confidence and choice. No two days are the same in this varied, complex care environment. One day you might be accompanying a resident to a hospital appointment, the next you could be heading out to the theatre, a disco, or a local community group.

Your day–to–day will include:

Supporting residents with personal care, including bathing, toileting and getting up/dressed Providing emotional and practical support tailored to each individual Encouraging and enabling independence and choice Taking part in community engagement and activities, both on–site and out in the community Helping maintain a warm, welcoming atmosphere for residents and colleagues alike Following all relevant policies and procedures to keep the home running smoothly Training and development

Experience matters, but everyone starts somewhere. If you're new to care, we'll give you the tools to succeed with in–house training and development, including:

Extensive induction training Care Certificate completion Specific training and qualifications suited to residents' needs NVQ qualifications What we're looking for

Able to work independently and as part of a team Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends when required Confident communicator at all levels Calm under pressure and in challenging situations Computer literate, with the ability to write clear reports Essential requirements

Right to live and work in the UK Two positive references Enhanced DBS check A driving licence would be an advantage, but isn't essential If you're caring, positive, and passionate about making a genuine difference to people's lives, we'd love to hear from you.
