Health and Safety Advisor up to 45k

We are looking for a proactive Health & Safety Advisor to support the Health & Safety Manager and wider Group H&S function in maintaining a safe, compliant and progressive working environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about health and safety who is keen to develop their career training will be provided.

As Health and safety advisor you will help ensure compliance with current Health & Safety legislation, guidance and best practice while promoting a strong safety culture across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Promote H&S best practice and encourage continual improvement, including near–miss reporting Support development and delivery of employee H&S training Assist Health & Safety committees and attend meetings Work with managers on risk assessments, ensuring timely completion in line with procedures Maintain H&S systems including accident reporting and COSHH compliance Support internal audits, identifying improvements to systems and procedures Collect, analyse and report H&S data, identifying trends and recommending actions Assist accident investigations under guidance of the H&S Manager Deliver Toolbox Talks and communicate safety information effectively Ensure compliance with ISO standards, HR policies, and contractual obligations Positively represent the company to customers and suppliers Contribute fully to performance and development programmes About You

We re looking for someone enthusiastic about health and safety who enjoys working collaboratively and driving continuous improvement.

Essential / Preferred:

IOSH membership desirable NEBOSH qualification (or working towards it) Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or chemicals environments beneficial Strong written and verbal communication skills Good Microsoft Office skills Ability to interpret H&S legislation and guidance Strong analytical and organisational skills Self–motivated team player Full UK driving licence Benefits Summary
