Female Healthcare Assistant

Newark Recruitment is currently recruiting Healthcare Assistants on behalf of a care provider supporting adults with a range of care and support needs.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work as part of the care team to provide high–quality care and support, promoting the dignity, independence, wellbeing and safety of the individuals in your care.

Key Responsibilities

Providing person–centred care and support to residents Assisting with personal care, washing, dressing and personal hygiene Supporting residents with mobility and daily living activities Supporting with meals, hydration and nutrition Assisting with medication where required and in line with training and service procedures Supporting residents with social and recreational activities Encouraging independence and maintaining dignity at all times Supporting residents to attend appointments where required Communicating effectively with residents, colleagues and other professionals Maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment Following individual care plans, risk assessments and relevant policies and procedures Reporting any changes in residents' health, behaviour or wellbeing to the appropriate senior staff Working effectively as part of a wider care team Essential Requirements

Previous experience in healthcare, care or support work is desirable Experience supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health or other complex needs is desirable Good communication and interpersonal skills A caring, patient and professional approach Ability to work flexibly according to service requirements Reliable and committed approach to work Willingness to learn and complete required training Training and Development

Full training and relevant role–specific training will be provided to successful candidates. Candidates must be willing to complete all mandatory training and follow the required care and safeguarding procedures.
