Factory Operative

Pay: 35,000

Location: Liverpool, L34

Hours: 08:00–17:00 Monday–Friday

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an innovative and rapidly growing manufacturing business operating within the biotechnology sector. We are seeking a Fermentation / Chemical Process Operator to support production activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operation of fermentation and processing equipment.

This role offers the chance to work with cutting–edge technologies while contributing to the scale–up of sustainable manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Operate fermentation, processing, and manufacturing equipment in line with standard procedures. Monitor process performance and maintain product quality standards. Clean, sanitise, and maintain production equipment and vessels. Complete batch records and production documentation accurately. Carry out routine sampling and support quality activities. Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate where required. Maintain high standards of health & safety, GMP, hygiene, and housekeeping. Support continuous improvement and process optimisation initiatives. Skills & Experience

Essential:

Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline. Strong understanding of chemical and factory safety. Experience or knowledge of laboratory, chemical, or manufacturing processes. Excellent attention to detail and record–keeping skills. Strong communication and problem–solving abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast–paced team environment. Willingness to work rotating shifts as operations expand. Adaptable and eager to learn. Desirable:

Experience within biotechnology, fermentation, chemical, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, or bioprocessing environments. Previous experience operating production plant or automated process equipment. Food or beverage manufacturing. Pharmaceutical manufacturing. What's on Offer
