Deputy Nursery Manager – SEN Focus

Description

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join a small, welcoming nursery setting based in Southwark.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strong Early Years Educator with SEN experience who is confident leading a small team and able to deputise in the absence of the Nursery Manager. The nursery provides a supportive and inclusive environment, with a strong focus on high–quality early years provision.

Salary: GBP28,000 GBP32,500 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)

You will be:

Deputising for the Nursery Manager when required and supporting the day–to–day management of the setting

Leading and supporting a small team of Early Years practitioners

Acting as SENCO, supporting children with additional needs and working closely with staff and external professionals

Supporting safeguarding procedures and contributing to DSL responsibilities

Delivering high–quality Early Years education in line with the EYFS framework

Supporting children s learning, development, and wellbeing in a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment

We are looking for someone who is experienced, confident, and passionate about Early Years and SEN provision. The successful candidate will be a qualified Early Years Educator with experience in a leadership or deputy role within a nursery setting.

Requirements:

Relevant Early Years qualifications

Paediatric First Aid certification

SEN and DSL experience

Experience leading or supervising staff
