We are recruiting for a Creative Psychotherapist to join a specialist therapeutic school in Essex, supporting pupils across KS3 and KS4.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified therapist who is passionate about working therapeutically with children and young people with SEMH needs, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and associated SEND.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide individual and group therapeutic interventions while working closely with teaching staff, families and external professionals to ensure pupils receive consistent and effective therapeutic support.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering individual and group therapy sessions tailored to pupils individual needsAssessing pupils and developing appropriate therapeutic programmesSupporting young people with SEMH needs, trauma, attachment difficulties and emotional developmentWorking collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other professionalsContributing to EHCP targets, therapeutic progress plans and reportsLiaising with families and external professionals, including CAMHS and social careProviding therapeutic support within the classroom where appropriateSupporting pupil transitions and reintegrationMaintaining high standards of safeguarding, confidentiality and professional practiceThe successful candidate will be a fully qualified therapist with appropriate professional registration and experience within their therapeutic specialism. Experience working with children or young people in challenging contexts is essential, alongside experience supporting pupils with SEND and behaviours that challenge.

You will have a strong understanding of child development, SEMH, SEND, trauma and attachment, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
