Registered Manager Children's Residential Home (EBD) Location: Redditch, Worcestershire (B97)

Salary: GBP55,000 – GBP70,000 per annum + bonus scheme

Home Size: 3–bed (EBD)

Benefits Competitive salary of GBP55,000 – GBP70,000 per annum, dependent on experienceAdditional bonus scheme for Registrations, Performance and Occupancy Monday to Friday working pattern, with on–call responsibilitiesOpportunity to register and shape a brand–new children's residential home from the beginningFull support from an experienced Responsible Individual with a proven track record of achieving Outstanding Ofsted outcomesStrong investment in children's experiences, including holidays, activities, hobbies and community experiencesTherapeutic model incorporating Art Therapy, Play Therapy and Animal–Assisted TherapyOngoing professional development and training opportunitiesStaff reward and recognition schemesTeam–building events and wellbeing initiativesCompany pensionCasual dressFree on–site parkingGenuine career progression opportunities as the organisation expands into additional homes What We're Looking For Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Registered Manager within an Ofsted–regulated children's homeProven experience of opening and registering a new children's residential homeStrong knowledge of Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Quality Standards and safeguarding requirementsProven leadership and people management experienceAbility to recruit, develop and retain a high–performing residential care teamStrong understanding of therapeutic, child–centred and trauma–informed approachesExcellent communication, organisational and problem–solving skillsGenuine passion for improving outcomes and enriching the lives of children and young peopleCalm, resilient and solution–focused approachAbility to build strong relationships with children, families, social workers and external professionalsAmbitious approach and enthusiasm for contributing to the growth of an expanding organisationEnhanced DBS, satisfactory references and successful completion of safer recruitment checksFull right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available) Key Responsibilities Lead the Ofsted registration process and prepare the home for openingTake overall responsibility for the day–to–day management and operation of the homeEnsure the home operates in accordance with its Statement of Purpose, Children's Homes Regulations and Quality StandardsPromote outstanding safeguarding practices and ensure children's welfare remains the highest priorityRecruit, supervise, develop and inspire a high–performing staff teamEstablish a warm, nurturing and therapeutic culture within the homeEmbed child–centred practice and ensure children's individual needs and aspirations are at the heart of careBuild positive and effective relationships with children, families, social workers and partner agenciesOversee care planning, risk management and safeguarding processesMonitor quality assurance, audits and continuous improvement across the serviceManage the home's budget and resources effectivelyEnsure children have access to meaningful experiences, activities, holidays and opportunities that enrich their livesPromote positive outcomes across education, health, emotional wellbeing and independenceWork closely with the Responsible Individual to ensure the home maintains high standards of care and complianceLead the service through future Ofsted inspections and drive continuous improvementSupport the development of the organisation as it expands into additional children's residential homes
