Paragon Social Care provides 24/7 wraparound support for children and young people in local authority care, often during the most pivotal moments in their lives. The Role
There is no such thing as a "typical" day - but there is purpose in everyone.
As a Children's Support Worker, you may:
Offer trauma-informed care to ensure young people are safe and supported.Build positive, trusting relationships that offer stabilitySupport daily routines, independence, and life skillsAssist with education, appointments, and meaningful activitiesPrepare meals and encourage healthy livingAdvocate for young people's voices and emotional wellbeingTransport young people to appointments or activities using your own vehicleSupport each child to move forward with confidence and belief in themselves
Who We're Looking For
This role is well-suited to individuals who are:
Compassionate, patient, and emotionally resilientExperienced in supporting children or young people (paid or voluntary)Flexible to work varied shifts, including weekends, sleep-ins, and waking nightsHold a full UK driving licence and have access to a carWilling to undergo an enhanced DBS checkA relevant qualification (such as NVQ Level 3 in Children's Residential Care) is desirable but not essential. Full training and ongoing support are provided.
