Job Title: Careers and Employment Assistant
Location: Syon Manor College, Isleworth TW7 5AJ
Salary: GBP23,500.00 - GBP25,000.00 per annum depending on experience (Not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday - Wednesday 8:30am - 4:30pm Thursday and Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

Candidates must have Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle to get to work

As a Careers and Employment Assistant, you'll work alongside our Careers Lead to deliver inspiring, tailored careers and work-related learning experiences that boost confidence, build vital employability skills, and open doors to meaningful opportunities.
About the Role
Based at our Isleworth site, we are excited to welcome a dynamic Careers Assistant to support the delivery of an inspiring and personalised careers and work-related learning programme. Working closely with our Careers Lead, you'll help students develop essential employability skills, independence, and achieve their Preparation for Adulthood goals.
What You'll Be Doing
Support the design and delivery of a vibrant careers programme preparing students for life beyond collegeCollaborate with tutors, teachers, and support staff to develop engaging, inclusive work-related learning activitiesBuild and maintain strong partnerships with local employers, community organisations, and training providersCoordinate work experience placements, including conducting risk assessments and site visits to ensure safe, high-quality opportunitiesTailor learning experiences to meet each student's unique goals, abilities, and aspirationsEmbed Preparation for Adulthood outcomes covering employment, independent living, health, and community inclusionWork with the Accreditation Lead to support qualifications that enhance student achievementRepresent Syon Manor professionally, fostering lasting connections with external partnersContribute to the ongoing development of careers provision to ensure it remains inclusive, impactful, and relevantThis is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference in students' lives, helping them develop the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to succeed beyond college.

Syon Manor College is a new post-16 provision for young people with autism and complex needs. The college will offer a broad curriculum of academic, vocational and life skills learning including BTECs, GCSEs, Functional Skills and ASDAN accreditations which will work towards Employability or Independence and Duke of Edinburgh qualifications.
For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. We are a leading provider of education for neurodivergent young people and young adults. As part of Outcomes First Group, we are leading our sector in setting and delivering new approaches that provide measurable outcomes for those in our care.

You'll work 80% of your contractual hours for 100% of your pay, giving you more time to do the things that make you happy. 4DWW is subject to successful completion of probation and is not a contractual benefit
