Location: Epsom, Surrey

Contract: Temporary – Up to 6 Months

Hours: Monday to Friday

Start: ASAP

Are you an experienced HCPC–registered Biomedical Scientist with strong haematology skills? We're supporting a leading NHS laboratory in Epsom who are looking for an experienced BMS to join their team on a temporary basis for up to 6 months. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a busy, high–performing haematology department while working with a friendly and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine and complex haematology investigations to a high standard

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot haematology analysers

Participate in blood film morphology and specialist haematology techniques

Work in accordance with ISO15189 standards and departmental SOPs

Ensure accurate documentation and quality control procedures

Contribute to a safe, efficient, and patient–focused laboratory service

Requirements

HCPC registration – essential

Band 6 or Band 7 experience within Haematology

Strong routine and specialist haematology knowledge

Experience with common haematology analysers (e.g., Sysmex) – desirable

Ability to work independently and as part of a multi–disciplinary team

NHS laboratory experience preferred
