Are you an experienced Behaviour Support Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant with a genuine passion for supporting young people with challenging behaviour?

TimePlan Education is working with a highly regarded specialist SEN school in East Cheshire, supporting students aged 11–16 with complex needs including ASC, PMLD, communication and sensory needs and associated neurological conditions.

We are looking for a resilient and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student with an EHCP throughout their school day. You will play an important role in supporting emotional regulation, positive behaviour, engagement and independence.

What you'll be doing:

Provide consistent 1:1 behaviour and SEN supportSupport a student who displays challenging behaviourFollow and implement strategies linked to their EHCPPromote emotional regulation, communication and independenceBuild a trusting, positive relationship with the studentWork closely with teachers, therapists and the wider SEN teamMaintain a calm, structured and safe learning environmentWe're looking for someone who:

Has previous experience supporting challenging behaviour – essentialIs resilient, patient, consistent and emotionally robustHas experience within SEN, specialist education or careWorks exceptionally well as part of a teamHas excellent communication and relationship–building skillsTeam Teach or Oliver McGowan training is highly desirableWhy this school?
