Description

Affinity Partnerships are seeking compassionate and dedicated Autism Support Workers to join a welcoming Special Educational Needs (SEN) School. The school supports pupils aged 4–18 years with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and other complex learning needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of children by helping them develop confidence, independence and essential life skills.

The Role

As an Autism Support Worker, you will work closely with students, teachers and therapists to provide tailored support throughout the school day. Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting pupils with autism and additional learning needs in the classroom and around the schoolAssisting with personal care where required, ensuring dignity and respect at all timesSupporting pupils during mealtimesProviding physical support, including moving and handling where necessaryPromoting independence, confidence and positive behavioursBuilding strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staffHelping to create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environmentWhat Affinity Partnerships are Looking For
