Are you an experienced Autism Specialist or SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)?

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a dedicated SEN school in Northampton who are looking to appoint an Autism Specialist on a long-term basis.

This specialist SEN school provides tailored education for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition and associated needs. The school is committed to creating a structured, nurturing, and highly supportive environment where every pupil can thrive both academically and socially.

Staff are highly trained in autism-specific strategies, and there is a strong emphasis on communication, emotional regulation, and personalised learning pathways. Leadership is experienced within SEN provision and places strong focus on staff development, teamwork, and wellbeing.

About you - Autism Specialist - Northampton, Northamptonshire

Experience supporting children or young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) Strong understanding of sensory needs and communication differences Confident implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans Calm, patient, and consistent approach to behaviour support Skilled in using strategies such as visual timetables, PECS, or structured routines Previous experience within an SEN school or specialist provision (desirable)
