A&E Nurses Wanted – Preston & Chorley

Nurses to support services across Preston, Chorley and surrounding areas. We

The Role

As an A&E Nurse, you will provide high-quality emergency nursing care, supporting

patients with a wide range of urgent and complex healthcare needs.

Key Responsibilities

 Assess, triage, and provide emergency nursing care to patients presenting

with a variety of conditions.

 Deliver safe and effective care in line with NMC standards and clinical

guidelines.

 Monitor patients; conditions, recognise deterioration, and escalate concerns

appropriately.

 Administer medications and treatments safely.

 Support emergency procedures, interventions, and resuscitation when

required.

 Carry out clinical observations, assessments, and documentation.

 Work effectively within a multidisciplinary emergency care team.

 Provide reassurance, communication, and support to patients and families.

 Maintain accurate patient records and follow infection prevention and

safeguarding procedures.

 Adapt quickly to changing priorities within a busy emergency department.

Essential Requirements

 Current NMC Registration as a Registered Nurse.

 Minimum 6 months UK A&E / Emergency Department experience.

 Previous experience working in an Emergency Department setting is

essential.

 Valid Enhanced DBS.

 Professional references covering the last 3 years of employment.

 Strong emergency assessment and clinical decision-making skills.

 Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

 Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

 Right to work in the UK.
