Description
I've got this ex British army Harley Davison MT350 that I have loved since around 2014.
I gotta make some space in the garage :-(
The pics are from last summer- will take some new photos at the weekend.
MOT expires December 2026.
It has actually done about 7000 miles- the quoted mileage figure on the MOT history is actually in kms so needs to be converted to reflect miles!
The front (removable) bullet / document cases makes it a very unusual looking machine- of all my bikes it gets the most looks when I ride it. At a Harley Davison convention in Norfolk last year it perhaps got more than it should!
It's a single cylinder Rotax engine with an electric start. The previous owner had it nut-and-bolt stripped, resprayed and rebuilt by the MT350 specialists Force Motorcycles.
Since I've owned it I've used it as an occasional ride but I've not been scared to use in winter on occasion. Or off road- it's a scrambler after all!!
Carbs cleaned etc.
New clutch last year.
Stock mild steel exhaust replaced with a stainless alternative in keeping with the bike.
The Harley is still in lovely condition but if you are fussy and want a mint example the rear shocks are a bit rusty and need a respray or new ones. The air cooled fins on the engine would also benefit from a spray of BBQ heat resistant paint or similar to make it show-room. Or don't bother- just ride it and accept you are riding a classic machine of significant British military history!! (I have the original user manual- chapter one details how the bike should be destroyed if being abandoned in enemy territory. I am not kidding!)
I have added discrete fog lights so you can use it in winter.
I also have the machine gun case that attaches to the rear side of the bike- it's in my garage but as I do not have a machine gun it is not on the bike!
I've loved the bike- but don't use it much these days and would like to use its space in the garage for something else.
It starts and runs on the button and has a current MOT. It's booked in for a service at the end of April (earliest date in my local fab garage) but I will pass on earlier if a buyer can't wait! (I will advertise on Autotrader/Ebay after.)
It has a private number plate that I will replace before sale.
It's great!!
