Senior Hair Stylist / Hairdresser

Job Type: Full-time / Part-time / Self-Employed (depending on role)

We’re looking for a passionate, experienced Hair Stylist to join our growing team.

Role Responsibilities

You will be expected to confidently perform a wide range of professional hair services, including:

Ladies’ cutting and styling
Blow dries and styling
Hair-up and occasion styling
Full head colour
Root tint applications
Glossing and toning services
Semi-permanent and permanent colouring
Colour corrections
Full head highlights
Half head highlights
T-section highlights
Balayage
Foilyage
Babylights
Face-framing highlights
Ombre services
Bleach & tone
Scalp bleaching
Creative and fashion colours
Men’s cutting and barbering (desirable)
Children’s haircuts
Hair treatments including deep conditioning, bond repair and Hair Botox
Keratin smoothing treatments
Hair extension consultations
Nano ring extensions
Keratin bond (U-tip) extensions
Weave/sew-in extensions
Hair extension maintenance, refits and removals
Bridal and occasion hair (desirable)

Daily Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional customer service throughout each appointment
Carry out thorough consultations and recommend suitable services
Maintain excellent colour knowledge and application techniques
Recommend appropriate retail products and aftercare
Keep workstations clean and presentable
Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of service
Build and retain a loyal client base
Create before & after photos/videos for salon social media when required
Work collaboratively with the salon team
Follow all health, safety and hygiene procedures

Essential Requirements

NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 Hairdressing (or equivalent)
Proven salon experience
Confident in colouring, blonding and balayage techniques
Strong cutting and styling skills
Excellent consultation and communication skills
Professional appearance and attitude
Reliable, punctual and motivated
Passionate about continuing education and keeping up with industry trends

Desirable Skills

Hair extension qualifications
Keratin treatment experience
Bridal hair experience
Existing client base (advantage but not essential)
Social media content creation skills
