Selling my 2025 Marceau Déferlante (limited edition) "The Heartbreaker" Mary Spender Signature Electric Guitar
Apart from being a wonderful guitar, this is a true collectors item being number 9 of only 10 custom made by Marceau guitars.
To launch the release of guitarist Mary Spenders album ‘Super. Sexy. Heartbreak’ in 2024, Marceau guitars commissioned a limited edition run of 10 of these stunning guitars.
I was fortunate to be able order No. 9 of this limited edition of 10 guitars direct from Marceau guitars in August 2024 before they all sold out. It was delivered to me in November 2025.
However, in late 2024 I began to develop a deteriorating hand/finger condition and by the time the guitar was delivered in November 2025, I was finding it very painful to play a guitar.
Therefore, over the last 12 months, I’ve been letting go of all of my guitar collection and this is my last one.
As it’s a collectable and beautiful guitar, I was going to hang on to it. However, I’m currently about to move house and again reassessing what things to keep and I also recognise this unique guitar really deserves to be played. So, sadly I’m willing to let it go - I will accept reasonable offers.
As you’ll gather from my description above, the guitar is pretty much as new, I’ve only been able to try to play a couple of times in the house.
As you can see from the photos it’s in fantastic condition.
Note: there are a couple of scratches on the Perspex scratch plate, probably caused when I briefly tested her out - see photo, I know it’s called a scratch plate for a reason, but I just want to be totally transparent with the cosmetic condition. There are no scratches or defects elsewhere on the guitar.
Marceau Guitars are a small but renowned team of boutique guitar luthiers led by Tom Marceau located in Breton France. Each guitar is hand crafted by luthiers, including setting of the guitar neck to the body by use of Plek machine technology.
This is a real unique beauty, with a super smooth neck making it awesome to play.
