Description

Blackstar Artisan 15 Hand-wired Amp. This is one of the original 2007 production run, made in Korea. It’s all hand-wired and has a Celestion G12M 20 watt Greenback speaker.

Incredible sounding amp, easily loud enough for to gig but with the option to switch down to 5 Watts for quieter use.

In good condition, with one obvious repaired (glued) tear in the tolex as pictured.

I’ve had this amp stored in a cupboard for several years and if I don’t get any interest this weekend I’ll just put it away again. That would be a shame because, really, it needs to be getting used and it will be a great amp for someone. Please note: I’ve noticed there is increased “valve amp hiss” when it is sitting running on idle which suggests to me that it needs a service (which I know to be years overdue!) Still sounds great when in use, but any potential buyer should bear this in mind. I’m open to serious offers around the asking price after you have inspected it, so obviously this is cash on collection only. Also, I might swap for a guitar, with cash adjustment either way possible. I’m in West Kilbride and available most afternoons/evenings. Thanks for looking.

Blackstar Artisan 15 is a beautiful, hand wired, all valve, true Class A, 1 x 12  combo:
Channel 1 uses an ECC83 Pre-amp valve and Channel 2 an EF86 Pre-amp valve, in homage to early Fender and Vox amps. No channel switching, but you can jumper the two channels and blend to taste, like a Plexi for example. The EL84 based power section is switchable between a 5W triode mode and a more dynamic 15W pentode mode. This amp is a true all valve affair that uses an EZ81 rectifier.
