Description

This is a partscaster with excellent upgrades. Guitar details are:

*I was given the neck and its guitar from a friend - someone had carved initials all down the fretboard and the headstock was badly scored and painted. The body had been so badly wrecked it had to be binned. I sanded, re-radiused and re-fretted the neck. It has a 9 1/2” radius. Fretboard and side marker dots replaced with new abalone dots. The original trapezoid tuners were replaced. You can see where some of the screw holes were filled (see pictures) but they are not too distracting. In doing all that, the Squier logo and serial number were erased. But it is an affinity neck.

The body is 3 piece Alder stained with Crimson Guitar water based stains. It was intended to be dark green - turned out a bit darker than expected but still looks good. The guitar was then finished with Crimson Guitars finishing oils.

There are a few surface scratches and dents. Please see last 3 pictures for the most obvious ones.

When cleaning or polishing the guitar I would recommend using guitar wax. The finish on the guitar body and neck is made from oils - guitar polish may tarnish the finish.

The pickguard can be completely removed by removing the screws and simply disconnecting the two little red connectors on the white cloth cable inside the cavity. That way you can easily make any changes you like - e.g. different Pickups. Then simply rejoin the connectors (they only connect one way) and put the pickguard back on.
