Japanese made Epiphone Les Paul Standard for sale!
Amazing guitar! they were basically built as a 1 to 1 of the USA Les Pauls standards of the time
Features the Gibson open book headstock design
I believe the serial dates this guitar to 2000
The guitar itself plays like a dream, out plays a lot of Gibson‘s I’ve owned personally (probably why Gibson stopped producing them 👀)
I got this out of Japan as just a husk
installed some EMG’s (81 in the bridge, 85 in the neck)
The guitar has some wear and tear, few small dings, scuffs, scratches, chips (mainly on the back) couple of tiny dings on the top
Had a bit of an unfortunate lacquer crack on the back of the headstock, but the headstock itself hasn’t been broken or repaired in anyway
Small chip to one of the tuning pegs, but still functions as should
Bit of corrosion to the bridge and tail piece but everything functions there too
Tuners and bridge are original, I have the original cream pick guard too
Plastics have been replaced, some screw holes have been added to accommodate these (backplates are Gibson USA)
Epiphone hardcase included
